This department dedicates itself to ensuring public safety and a high quality of life for county residents by holding offenders accountable for criminal conduct, and striving to minimize further trauma to victims. Our prosecutors work closely with law enforcement to promote this successful outcome.

This department is responsible for mailing and receiving ballots during elections, replacing ballots, registering new voters and many more services, all while working diligently to promote efficiency and confidence in its outcomes.

This department works on community engagement through creating and facilitating county-wide events such as the county fair, parades, livestock auctions and much more.

This department is responsible for managing all aspects of the counties finances, including tasks like proposing, approving and adopting county budgets, managing funds, audits and more.

Harris Park is located off of the Walla Walla River and is used for many purposes, including overnight camping, picnics and events for outdoor enthusiasts. The location has many campgrounds and services available and can be rented out for group functions. It is open from early spring to late fall.

This department is responsible for a broad range of tasks including employee recruitment and onboarding, managing compensation and benefits, providing employee training and development opportunities and much more.

This department is committed to protecting the public by holding youth offenders accountable. By providing opportunities for reformation and rehabilitation, the Juvenile department strives to reduce juvenile delinquency and promote community partnerships.

This department is dedicated to promoting, preserving and protecting the health of the local community by monitoring both individual and population health, providing education, community services and much more.

This department is responsible for maintaining roads and bridges within the county approximating 1700 miles of road (500 miles are paved). This is done through a wide range of tasks, such as road grading, vegetation control, pavement repairs and bridge upkeep.

This department records all documents that effect the conveyance, encumbrance, or division of Real Property. It also issues and records Marriage Licenses, registers Domestic Partnerships, processes Passport Application and more.

This department strives to keep the local community safe by enforcing the laws of the land, maintaining a safe and secure jail, patrolling the county, conducting criminal investigations, and providing many more services to support law enforcement and public safety.

This department assists veterans and their eligible dependents in filing claims to the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs for benefits such as service-connected compensation, health care, home loans, insurance and much more.
